For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness. (Romans 12:4-8 NRSV)
Here are some examples of your gifts at work at FLC:
$5 pays for one Pizza meal on Wednesday
$20 pays for one Bible
$200 pays for our annual contribution to the Becker Ministerial Fund, which helps people in need with hotel rooms, grocery gift cards, gas cards
One-time or Recurring Electronic Giving
Would you find it helpful to have your offerings taken from your bank account as you do other monthly drafts? At no cost to the congregation? Electronic giving allows individuals to have offerings transferred electronically to their church’s account.
Reasons to sign up for Electronic Giving:
• No need to write checks or bring cash to church
• Peace-of-mind knowing that the church is receiving your contribution even if you are unable to attend
• More secure than checks
• All contributions are recorded for you on your bank statement with date of settlement
• IT COSTS YOU NOTHING!
Thrivent
If you are a member of Thrivent, you can direct your Choice Dollars to Faith Lutheran Church in Becker.
Or, partner with one of our ministries and lead a Thrivent Action Team! In the past we've used Thrivent Action Team money to buy supplies for our Easter Egg Hunt and to buy bells to start a youth handbell choir.
Legacy Planning
Through our synod, FLC has a relationship with the Regional Gift Planners of the ELCA. They are available to help people think about the legacy they would like to leave to their children and their communities and create a plan to achieve their vision. They are not paid on commission. All of their services are provided by the ELCA.
